Conference information 2015

Conference fee and membership fee

The conference fee is 460 €  (early registration fee by 20 March is 430 €) and it includes the personal ECIC membership fee.  If you are the institutional delegate of your organization, please add 25 € for the institutional membership.

In order to enable a stronger local participation, there is the option to participate at a reduced rate without accomodation  (290) or to join only on Wednesday (65 €).

Invoice will be sent by email after the registration.

The fee includes full board and accommodation as well as the conference program Tuesday afternoon, 9 June until lunch on Friday, 12 June. 

Please note that lunch on Tuesday, 9 June is not included in the conference fee. If you arrive early and you want to eat lunch and pay for it yourself, please inform the conference venue: reception@sofia.fi .

In case of cancellation, the participant will bear all costs caused by the cancellation. You may send a substitute to take your place instead.

Please also remember to fill in the registration form.

Accomodation

Please note that the venue only provides double rooms with separate beds. You must be willing to share rooms.

Arrival and Departure

The conference venue is the conference hotel sofia in Helsinki. Website of the venue: www.sofia.fi

If you arrive by plane , we recommend that you coordinate via the ECIC Facebook group in order to share a taxi (cost: approx. 50 Euros). Make sure to inform the taxi driver that your destination is the conference hotel sofiaInformation about Helsinki airport: www.helsinkiairport.org

Taxi is the easiest way to arrive to Sofia.

The taxi fare should be about 50 euros.

You can also  take  a bus number 615 . It leaves just in the front of the airport.
The bus will arrive to railway station and at the railway station you have take a metro to Vuosaari and then a bus number 816. This bus takes you straight to the door of the Culture Centre.

You may also take a taxi from the Vuosaari metro station.

You can search a route from airport Vantaa to Kallvikinniementie 35, Helsinki. It tells you leave the buss number 615 in Sörnäinen, but it would be easier to change at the railway station.

 

Language

The language of the conference is English.

The local language in Helsinki is Finish, but you can communicate with reception staff at the venue in English or Swedish as well.

Things to do in Helsinki

The conference program includes an excursion to Helsinki on Thursday, but the limited time will not permit to visit the city's numerous museums and exhibitions on that day. If you decide to extend your stay, visit www.visithelsinki.fi/en for more information.
