Conference information 2017

Conference fee and membership fee

The conference fee is 400 €  (early registration fee by 10th February is 350 €) and it includes the personal ECIC membership fee.  If you are the institutional delegate of your organization, please add 25 € for the institutional membership.

In order to enable a stronger local participation, there is the option to participate only on Wednesday (40 €).

Invoice will be sent by email after the registration.

The fee includes full board and accommodation as well as the conference program Tuesday afternoon, 25 April until lunch on Friday, 28 April. 

Please note that lunch on Tuesday, 25 April is not included in the conference fee. If you arrive early and you want to eat lunch and pay for it yourself, please inform the conference venue.

In case of cancellation, the participant will bear all costs caused by the cancellation. You may send a substitute to take your place instead.

Please also remember to fill in the registration form.

If you can't afford attending the conference, please contact us. There are some limited possibilities for sponsorship.

All hotel guests have free access to the complex pool (swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna).

 

Arrival and Departure

The conference venue is situated in Raszyn near the Chopin-Airport www.warsaw-airport.com.

If you arrive in Warsaw by plane you can reach the venue by taxi in 15 min (approx. 12 Euro). Please organise taxi-sharing in the ECIC Facebook-Group.

Important note:  take the licensed taxi service offered at Chopin Airport. Taxi tariffs should be clearly displayed in the car window. We recommend three taxi corporations: ELE TAXI, SUPER TAXI, SAWA TAXI. Beware of unlicensed taxi drivers. Recommended cabs wait right in front of the arrival hall. You can follow the sign TAXI, there is usually cue waiting for the licensed taxi.

If you arrive in Warsaw by train you can use the public transport and get to the venue with the ticket that cost 7 PLN (approx. 2 Euro).

From Warszawa Centralna railway station take the tram number 9 direction P+R Al.Krakowska. From P+R Al.Krakowska you take the bus 706 . Get off at the "Falenty-Osiedle" bus stop (15 stops). 

          

Language

The language of the conference is English.

The local language in Warsaw is Polish, but you can communicate with reception staff at the venue in English as well.

 

 

Electricity

Poland has 230v electricity. 

 

Currency

The currency in Poland is the "Polish złoty". 1 Euro is approx. 4,20 PLN

 

Visa / entry requirements for Poland

EU citizens do not need visa.

If you are visiting Poland as a tourist and a citizen of a country outside the EU , you may need a visa.

 

Things to do in Warsaw

The conference program includes an excursion to Warsaw on Thursday, but the limited time will not permit to visit the city's numerous museums and exhibitions on that day. If you decide to extend your stay, visit http://www.warsawtour.pl/en for more information.
