Christian community in an automated world
Fast and personalised responses have become the gold standard for web-based communication - with the help of technologies such as chat bots. At the same time, more and more people feel more and more isolated and lonely.
The internet of things takes us further down the automation road, as machines made of hardware and software collect and exchange information with each other and the physical world.
At ECIC 2018, we want to look at the opportunities and risks of using automation in communicating Christ’s message to people around us, and ask: Does the church have a responsibility to “keep it real”? What does authenticity mean in an increasingly automated world? Can workflows and automations help us to “be there for the other”?
As in previous ECIC conferences, keynotes and discussions will be complemented with opportunities to learn from each other.
