Conference Organization

The ECIC conference organization consists of six members from different countries in Europe. All conference organization members do their work within ECIC voluntary, without payment.

The main task of the conference organization is to prepare the ECIC conference. This means: organizing accommodation, preparing the programme, contacts with lecturers and conference participants etc.

Next to this, mostly administrative tasks, the conference organization tries to keep in touch with European organizations who are also working in the field of the Internet, like WACC, WCC and Leuenberg and explores possibilities for cooperation and usability of the the ECIC network.

On May 30th, 2000 the ECIC conference organization members officially registered ECIC as an association, including establishing rules for future elections of members for the Steering Committee.

ECIC does not have an office located somewhere in Europe. It is a network of people working together on the Internet. If you would like to know something about ECIC in general or if you are interested to join one of the next conferences send an e-mail to: ecic@ecic.org. If possible, your mail will be forwarded to a participant of ECIC from your country.
